Pre-requisites for MSME or Udyam Aadhar Registration

  • Aadhar card ( mandatory)
  • Pan card ( optional but must be updated later)
  • Business enterprise name or company name
  • Business or companies official address
  • NIC code of your Business ( ie; nature of your business , currently only manufacturing and service enterprises are allowed to register as an MSME
  • Mobile number linked with Aadhar card and also an active E-mail address

Process Of MSME Registration

  1. Firstly, open the government website https://udyamregistration.gov.in/ then select the first option welcome to register here . You will then see a window like below , There you have to enter Aadhar number and name of the authorised person of the enterprise then validate and generate OTP by ticking on the box . remember the OTP will be sent to mobile number linked with Aadhar

2. Secondly, a window will appear asking “Type of organization and Pan number” select the required type of option and enter the Pan number of the ”company” if it is a Company, or the Pan number of the proprietor if ”sole proprietorship” or the pan of ”partnership firm” if it is a partnership firm, and select on Pan validate

3. Thirdly, you will be asked to enter your ITR ( income tax return ) details whether filed for the previous year or not and which ITR form was filed, and also you have to enter whether you have GSTIN number yes or no, then automatically the name in the Aadhar card will display in the column of Entrepreneur name, after that enter the mobile number linked with Aadhar card and also an active email id.

4. Fourthly, it will ask to select your social category from given options as below image the social category will be of the director of the company or the proprietor of a sole proprietorship or managing partner if partnership firm, also same should be with gender and specially-abled, after that, you have to enter the name of the enterprise that is your business name which will also display in the Udyam Aadhar certificate.

5. And on the plant /unit name column enter the name of different plants or units under the same business or enterprise. you have to type the name and click on add unit, you can create multiple units if necessary.

6. Now, enter your plant or unit’s location. And also the official address of your enterprise, both the addresses can be different if necessary.

7. Now, on 14, you will be asked about any previous registration number of UAM or EM part 2. Here you can select the N/A option if you don’t have any previous registration in UAM or Udyog Aadhar, now enter the status of your enterprise when it was established or incorporated

8. Now enter the bank details of the enterprise. And the major activity of the unit may be manufacturing or services according to your enterprise nature

9. Now you will be asked to enter the NIC code ( National Industrial Classification code ) select the applicable code of your business from the drop-down menu and select add activity after choosing your required code

10. At last you will be asked to enter the written down value of your fixed assets as per your accounts and returns filed. The written down value method is a method of depreciation of fixed assets. Then lastly submit the form by clicking on the submit and get the final OTP on your given phone number.

11. After the above steps, you will get a reference number starting with UDYAM, later by which you can download your Udyam Aadhar certificate after verifying your information within 3 to 4 days.
